Conde Nast Editors' Picks: The Best Safari Lodges and Camps in Africa

Molori (from about $925 per person per night) is what some people envision when they dream of safari: grand spaces. Outsized elegant décor. Sleek, modern sofas layered in ceremonial textiles. Standalone ceramic bathtubs. Curvilinear chaises next to infinity plunge pools—think bush living as envisioned by Terence Conran. Then there’s the five-star-hotel service. All of which would truly be excessive were it not for the very real authentic appeal of the wilderness experience on offer. Molori is in the Madikwe Game Reserve, the country’s fifth-largest, with Africa’s highest concentration of rhino—an endangered species the lodge actively protects through its own conservation programs.
